Fractional Laser Treatment – Is It For You?
Fractional laser treatments are popular dermatological treatments that are used for the treatment of uneven skin tones, acne scarring and wrinkles caused by sun damage.
One popular brand for such a treatment is Fraxel and according to experts, it costs $750 to $2,000 per session.
The question is, is this type of treatment for you? If you have this kind of money to spend then it is a good idea to give it a try so that you can finally have that perfect skin you have been dying to have? Some however say that it is not worth it; according to a review by a Londoner who had the procedure done last year, it did not improve her skin. She admitted however that the scarring is no longer visible however her pores seemed to have gotten bigger compared to the pores she had before. This of course is not the general opinion because lots of people have found that Fraxel is a good way to even one’s skin tone plus if you feel that you got larger pores due to your Fraxel treatment, you can always treat them by getting a pore cleanser or one that reduces pores. Often, such a treatment can open up surfaces of the skin that still have a lot of dirt in it –making them look larger. It is best however to ask your doctor what kind of cream you should be applying once your skin has healed.
Is the treatment uncomfortable? Yes, it can be a bit uncomfortable because it would feel like having a hot iron being placed and stroked on the skin. Numbing cream of course is applied on the skin before this is done but for those who can be a bit sensitive, getting a Fraxel treatment is definitely a bad idea.
