Latisse Eyelash Growth formula

I had to do an update post about Latisse Eyelash growth formula. I have been using it for about 6 weeks and my eyelashes are twice as long and black than they were after having used Revitalash for over a year. Seriously, my eyelashes are gorgeous if I do say so myself. It took about 3 weeks to start seeing results, but slowly I noticed my eyelashes getting longer and darker and now I'm not even using it everyday because they are so long already. When I'm looking up and I have on mascara my lases touch my brow bone! Love it!!

Long, black eyelashes are fast becoming to beauty products what Louis Vuitton is to handbags. A must have, but somewhat exclusive due to high costs. The claim that one bottle of Latisse lasts one month isn't true. I haven't even used half of the bottle and it's been 6 weeks of every day use. The key is not using the brushes that come with it because they waste alot of the formula. I use the brush that came with Revitalash, it's alot like a liquid eyeliner brush and it doesn't waste any. A bottle of Latisse is about $140, pricey I know, but it could last up to 3 months if you use a different applicator.

The images that are on Latisse's website are accurate. I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't used it myself. Bottom line: if you have the extra money and want luscious lashes, Latisse is worth every penny.

I found the lowest price at drugstore.com., $109.

Latisse Eyelash Extension is now available!

by Catherine February 16, 2009 08:34

Now the public can finally get their hands on Latisse Eyelash extensions. In case you haven't heard of it, here is the company's pitch: Latisse stimulated eyelash growth in 100% of patients that used it during trials. While using Latisse your lashes will continue to grow without shedding as they normally would. They therefore will continue to grow longer until they have reached the desired length you choose. Maintenance treatments of 2-3 times per week will then maintain this desired length. Lumigan can also stimulate eyebrow growth in some, but not all patients.

That's all great, but what convinced me were the before and after pictures.

I have always wanted long, luscious lashes and now I will have them! Latisse has to be prescribed by a doctor, and then it will cost about $120 for a months supply. Not cheap, but worth it in my opinion. Call your doctor immediately to get a prescription!

If you have used this product, please leave a comment about your satisfaction.

Latisse - eyelash-thickening drug

by Catherine December 28, 2008 06:17

eyelash growth shown is from Latisse  Allergan Inc, the maker of Botox, said last Friday that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has approved its eyelash-thickening drug Latisse. This drug is designed to treat a condition known as hypotrichosis of the eyelashes, which means a person does not have enough eyelashes. Allergan's other drug Lumigan uses the active ingredient bimatroprost and patients taking Lumigan found a side effect of the drug to be eyelash growth, prompting Allergan to study it for the new use.

Latisse is the first and only science-based treatment approved by the FDA to enhance eyelash prominence as measured by increases in length, thickness and darkness of eyelashes. Latisse is a once-daily prescription treatment that is applied to the base of the upper eyelash with a sterile, single-use-per-eye disposable applicator. Once treatment is stopped, eyelashes will gradually return to where they were prior to treatment.

This sounds to me a lot like RevitaLash, which works wonderfully. I will be curious to see if Latisse works better or will be less expensive than RevitaLash ($150), but based on the above before and after pictures, I think Latisse is going to blow RevitaLash away. That after shot is amazing! Latisse will be available in early 2009. I can't wait!

Eyelash Growth Formulas

Eyelash Growth Formulas

by Catherine December 08, 2008 08:29

When my mother sent me a eyelash growth formula, Revitalash, I was more than skeptical. I had puny, thin eyelashes forever. The hair on my body is barely noticeable and my luxurious mane...not so much. So when my eyelashes actually became longer and thicker after about a month of twice daily use, I was thrilled.

This product actually works, and it's safe. It's called Revitalash and it was invented by an ophthalmologist who wanted to help his wife recover her beautiful long eyelashes after she had undergone chemotherapy. It's an eyelash conditioner that stimulates growth. All you do is apply it to the base of your eyelashes, like liquid mascara, once or twice daily. I used it in the morning and the evening without any side effect, but the Revitalash brand recommends applying it only once a day. It has been reported that too much product can cause redness and irritation to the delicate skin around the eyes.

Before I tried Revitalash, I was seeking out a cosmetologist to get eyelash extensions, but I put it off due to the hefty price tag - $300 to $500 for eyelashes lasting up to 6 weeks! I don't even think of getting that done now, no need. Revitalash is a bit costly, $150 a tube, but it lasts about two months. Once the eyelashes are grown out thick and long, you don't have to use it everyday to maintain the beautiful results.

I love the product, and it's a must have for me. I could never go back to having puny lashes after seeing the full and thick ones I currently enjoy.
